Southern Italian food

Ciao we're Simona & Harry. We have a shop & kitchen in Margate Old Town that specialises in food, wine and recipes from Campania in the south of Italy. Simona's from here, a small village called Foglianise which is an hour or so east of Naples, high up in the mountains.

We import artisanal produce from this small area known as Sannio including cheese, salumi, nduja, wine, pickles, olive oil, chocolates, herbs, truffle, and our family's tomato sauces, all of which are all available to buy in our shop.

Lunch is available Thursday - Sunday, and Friday evenings for dinner. We make fresh pasta using artisanal ingredients from both Campania and Kent, we host Supper Clubs every month, teach Pasta Classes and Italian lessons, and have lots of lovely Italian books, DVDs and music so if you're an Italianophile, come and say ciao.

We are open until the 23rd December, then Friday 28th for both lunch and dinner, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th December for lunch.

We’ll then closed for most of January, back open Thursday January 31st!

Some of the nice things said about us!

Zeren Wilson, Bitten & Written
A little ripsnorter of a place.

Jacob Kennedy, Bocca di lupo
A touchingly intimate and heartwarming place. Without doubt the most authentic and homely Campanian food I've ever had anywhere outside of the region.

The Good Food Guide 2019
By the time your plates are cleared, you’ll want to adopt Simona Di Dio’s family as your own.

The pasta from @bottegacaruso was so good I wanted to cry when I finished it all.

@bottegacaruso are literally weaving my dreams into reality by being here.

This week's ravioli was insanely good - thank you!
